Both Eagles are spending time on the nest – Dad is just not being as active as last year.
Was a cold and foggy start 3/22

Yeah dad doesn’t seem to be in to it much this year.
Wonder why? Is he bringing food or is mom???❤️❤️
We noticed that too. Mom was eagerly waiting his return. I was worried.
Has anyone noticed if there has been any food brought into the nest yet today? Has the Baby been fed? Seems the Little One has been alone in the nest for multiple extended periods of time today and has been peeping and crying all morning long. Seems like this Little One is alone a lot. Breaks my heart to hear it peep and cry nonstop …
PamulaS Beautiful pictures. I worry about the eaglets at such a vulnerable age. I’ve read where the % of time that both parents are on the nest at this stage is almost 90%? Anyway just hoping the eaglet is eating well. It is a beautiful family. It was also reassuring to see both adults on the nest last night.
I’ve watched all morning but maybe I’ve missed something? Looks like the eaglet is staying very still in defense mode when River leaves the nest? I may have missed it if breakfast has been delivered?
I also noticed he has not been performing the dad duties well at all, maybe he’s getting a bit sick
Maybe Obey has a little something-something on the side. Rumour has it that Mr. P in the DC nest also has a little lady on the side, too. ?
PamulaS, I agree! I also hear another lady in the background? This is definitely the most beautiful of all the nest sites and the eagles are gorgeous, but for me this is one of the toughest to watch. I think Mr P does too!!! I’ll tell you though the DC Liberty and Justice have all kinds of food in the pantry… Learning so much…….
Also glad that if Obey does have another female, she and River are staying away from each other… At least this eaglet has some attention but doesn’t seem like the adults stay on the nest the % of time that experts say is average times.
